Deep Questions about Oneness and Nonduality.

I have been reading more Zen and Buddhist writings along with some writings on Yoga. See we are all one. The universe and everything in it are waves and frequencies of energy. Some can be seen and some cannot. Some are solid, some are liquid and some are gaseous. We all come from the same source.

So this means everything on this planet is one with you. Every person is part of you. This can be beautiful but it also creates a lot of deep questions. Like how can I be part of the racists, bigots, misogynists and homophobes out there? How can I be one with a serial killer or child molester? How can I be part of the bible zealots who think I am going to hell? This really disturbs me.

What disturbs me is that the Universe or (Put your higher Power here) created these kind of people and lets them flourish on the Earth. Ignorance, Self Righteousness, and Arrogance seem to thrive in this world. So obviously they have a purpose in the Universe’s eyes.

In my own journey, I see them as examples of what not to be. I just don’t need so many of these people around to teach me this lesson. But I feel these people are put on the planet to be a example of what not to be.

I do believe in karma so I believe there are consequences for their bad deeds. If not in this lifetime, possibly the next. Wiccans believe in the power of three. What you do to others comes back to you three fold. I have found this to be true.

Also have you ever really been hurt by a ex? They really did you wrong? Now how could that person be one with you?? This perplexes me and I cannot figure this all out. Why would we want to hurt ourselves?

Recently a ex of mine died. He hurt and betrayed me more than anyone has. He has also hurt a lot more people. I know the right thing to do is forgive him but I am not ready to. Also I feel guilty because I have little remorse for him.

I guess I am far from being enlightened. lol I have a lot more learning to do.

  1. Hi Morgan,
I’m new to your cite. Read the above information, my thoughts are as follows regarding forgiveness:

“Resentment is like drinking poison and expecting your enemy to die.” Nelson Mandela…the above quote by smilecalm is also by Nelson Mandela….the point, when you hold resentment for someone else, it only hurts you…so find it in your heart to forgive yourself, and all will be well. I’ve been working on this one for quite some time, but have finally been able to actually live it, and the feeling that comes from forgiving is beautiful….try it. Peace and Blessings!
